Dear Past-Self,
Perhaps you already have begun to have an intuition about it but i will say it anyway. I have a confession to make : Riding in metros was never my thing.I have still not learnt how.Riding underground crawling through unknown, dark, passages sitting in a box takes me awfully close to an anxiety attack. Dark, dingy tunnels perhaps take me to darker places inside my own mind.I have been time travelling ever since Man was in his cradle.I have been with them through the thick and thin.Through the barbaric Wars.I have seen and studied Humans very closely(to be precise this particular variety of Homo-Sapiens). I have seen them be the most courteous and gracious at times, and i have seen their capacity for unimaginable horror ,pain and suffering that they can cause. I have met great men who walked the Earth ,learnt wisdom and trades from the Great Fathers and Wizards themselves – and yet here i am right now, a time traveller ,stuck in a Paris metro.The year is 2017.
And ah yes, before i forget in this whole self rambling.The reason i am writing you this letter – i found something amazing ,and i want to tell you about it.The only thing that has gave me the courage to take the metro again – The new Bose QC35II.Before you die of excitement ,let me tell you a bit about it.They are a set of wireless headphones ,but not just any headphones.They are a the most amazing piece of tech that i have ever seen till date.When i close my eyes ,put them on in the metro , and the noise cancellation is so amazing that i immerse in that mesmerising voice of Edith Piaf ,its just me and her “je ne regrette rien”.Its like the external noise simply disappears .I cannot tell you enough how much i am loving it.I can’t wait for you to try them for yourself .So wait till 2017 kiddo ,this piece of tech would blow your mind.
And you now what this new one even comes with an action button that allows you to talk to your Google Assistant without even touching your phone.That is cool right ? Now if you are wondering what to do if you have an Apple phone today ,don’t worry, you can use it to change your noise cancellation levels. The days of holding the phone all day is gone- ah, what a relief.And you know what ,i change it once and it last for 20 hours.Even comes with a quick charge ,i can charge for 15 mins and i get 2.5 hours of play.The days of carrying an extra charger or worrying over battery are over baby ! Plus the crystal clear , crisp sound -ooooh ,wait till you hear that.These Bose folks ,they really seem to be know what the world wants ! (Note to self : Do remember to ask that question to Mr. Amar Bose when you meet him at MIT in 2001)
So you see how it has completely changes my life and the way i interact with the external world in 2017.So keep an eye on the calendar kiddo ! I am no longer afraid of taking the metro.It has turned from my ‘peur’ to ‘plaisir’ ! Thanks to my new BoseQC35II.Never knew, this is what the future holds for me – its transformational and revolutionary .I guess time travelling has its perks ! 🙂
And ah , i almost forgot , meet me on October 7th ,2017 – near the square of Place de la Concorde near the Luxor Obelisk .I will even bring the Bose headsets with me for you to check them out.Don’t keep me waiting !
